Wishing you a beneficial Eid Ul Adha

The story behind the significant celebration of Eid Ul Adha is very deep and full of virtues. As it beholds the story of the prophet Ibrahim's love to God and his love to his son Ishmael.

On that very month, Ibrahim's faith was severely tested by Allah. But in the end, Allah S.W.T intervenes and a ram was replaced for sacrifice instead.

So what's the moral behind the story?
Allah is telling us that He does not demand sacrifice but rather devotion and obedience. The story also teaches us to give our trust to Him and submit only to Him, because indeed He is the only one that can protect us and remove us from any circumstances in a whim.

It would be great for us, as parents to take our time and sit down with the children before going out praying the Eid Ul Aha prayer and tell them the prophet Ibrahim's story.
Make some time for them, do not let them follow us to the mosque and prays without them understand what is the actual meaning of that day. Teaches them to love Allah and to learn to put their trust in Allah in every situations.

Consequently, make the celebration of Eid - Ul - Adha a day for:

• Self reflection - evaluate our deeds, action and faith
• Remembrance and appreciation
• Thanking and praising God for being a Muslim
• Reconfirming Tawheed and the Oneness of Allah.

Ramadhan Art Ideas

Assalamualaikum, peace and greetings, 

Kids love fun things and they learn better when they're having a good time with their loving ones. So why don't make this Ramadhan better than the last? Apart from performing as much prayers, dhikr and sadaqah, don't forget that supervising your children's learning is also an obligation! Here are some ideas to lighten your homes with Ramadhan's spirit and ways to encourages your little ones to participate with your activities during this holy month.

01) Ramadhan Mubarak Banner

The banner would be great hanging around the edges of a desert table or across a room,  the choice is yours! It's super simple; just print, cut and hang! The link can be found here.

02) Eid Mubarak colourful cards

This card would come in handy during Eid. They could make the cards earlier on for wishing their friends and relatives a happy 'Eid Mubarak'. Or perhaps, they could use the same design to do a Ramadhan's wish card.

Materials

• White Card Stock
• Colorful Paper (3″ x 3 1/2″)
• Download Colorful Eid Mubarak Card

Directions

1. Download and print colorful eid mubarak sheet.
2. Trim 1″ from both the top and the bottom of the eid sheet.
3. Cut between the text, each of the 3 cards should be 3″ high.
4. To create the card place place the white side up. Fold right side of the paper 3 5/8″.
5. Fold left side 1″. It should now look like a match book.

Options to Finish

Glue an individual colored sheet to the left side of the card. 

Punch a hole in the middle of the left side of the card as well as all of the colorful cards. Attach with a thin ribbon.

Card can be closed with a sticker or a small amount of glue.

03) Ramadhan Collage

This is an easy, fun craft made using contact paper and any materials you feel would look nice on a collage. You can even tape these on to a window and they would look very nice that way.

First tape a piece of contact paper onto the work surface:

Then, stick the words 'Ramadan Mubarak' where you would like. 

 Next, stick the materials you wished,

 cover the collage using another piece of contact paper

Last, seal the collage (so it doesn't come apart later) with packing tape:

And now, you're finish!
